Dr. Miriam Adelson is a leading physician and expert in drug addiction. Methadone is a synthetic narcotic that quells a patient’s craving for opioids – painkillers or heroin – by preventing the withdrawal symptoms. Patients who are stabilized on methadone can function normally – whether it be attending school or holding down a job. Also, patients treated with methadone can reduce their exposure to HIV and Hepatitis. Buprenorphine is prescribed to block the effects of heroin and pain killers in similar ways as methadone. Buprenorphine when appropriately prescribed, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, provide a whole-patient approach to the treatment of opioid use disorder. When taken as prescribed, buprenorphine is safe and effective.

I go here everyday, staff is amazing to my girlfriend and I. The nurses Maria and Ana could be a little nicer but other then I love it. Mike And Brittany you two are awesome!

wow I am shocked at how many horrible reviews there are on here. I absolutely LOVE this clinic except how they close at 9am Tuesdays and thursday........ And yeah there are a few employees that may not be the nicest but that's EVERYWHERE you go these days pretty much.......... also I believe that most of the employees here are just VERY VERY BLUNT and people to WAY to sensitive now says. once u get to know them everyone's extremely nice and very caring but we also gotta remember they're used to dealing with addicts.......and not to be rude but a majority of the time addicts aren't very honest or they try to manipulate in one way or another I myself have been guilty of this as well. But they just are doing there jobs and clearly tired of patients attempting to get over on them. and yes they are the ONLY clinic that considers u dirty if u are positive for THC but they let u know that from jump street, they make a point to make sure you understand that while doing the intake process. regardless IF we like it or not it's the owners decision and IF u cant handle that then yeah just go somewhere else please. They have polices and procedures that MUST be followed in order to stay open. I personally have been to 2 different clinics and adelson is my second clinic. personally I don't care to go anywhere else!! so THANK YOU ADELSON CLINIC for EVERYTHING you guys do and everything u guys/ladies gotta deal with. and come on they CAN'T care about us more then we care about ourselves. DON'T judge by all the negative reviews because every experience is different so just cuz a handful of people have had bad experiences doesnt mean this is a bad clinic. yes intake takes FOREVER but that's EVERYWHERE after intake it's super fast pretty much daily after that. anyways take care everyone and just smile and be happy. things could be worse

Run as fast as possible away from this clinic. Literally any other clinic is better. They should be investigated for all their shady nonsense. Ruining the Adelson name.

Intake is early at 6am, and this is a great place to get clean and stay that way. The counselors are amazing and they just want to help you. Nurses are okay and the Dr is also an amazing guy. They all know what they are doing there and it's worth visiting if you truly want help.

Everyone has their own opinion on methadone treatment. It's usually the people who have never been addicted to heroin or opiates who strongly disagree that this actually helps people. I was hooked on heroin and pills for years. I was in severe withdrawal from not having access to the drugs and I decided to go to this clinic. Yes at first I thought it was a hassle to get up at the crack of dawn and get on a bus 70 min one way just to get my fix...but you know what? It's not that bad. I'm off heroin and I lost the desire to use it. Once daily in the am I take my methadone dose and I'm fine all day. It's completely changed my be life. I have hope again. I wish Joe was here with me. But he has to want to change.
