I rate this location at a 9. They were slightly unorganized but unbelievably friendly and attentive. Despite some of the really bad reviews I read online, All the staff was happy and willing to help. They communicated slowly and politely to everyone so that each person understood what was going on and what was to be expected. I am very pleased with the visiting process and how every step of safety was covered concerning covid-19 and I appreciate the consideration of my opinion, as a guest, being taken into account on the visiting location and accessibility available to me. Thank you Apple Valley staff, I look forward to my next visit with my father. Keep up the good-positive work!!!

My father in law is in this facility and with all the mandates that are in place. We, as well as the staff have to jump through hoops just for us to get to see him for a half hour! We came 4 hours to see him and the staff was very sweet and nice! They are taking really good care of him and we are so thankful for them!

My Mom almost died in this facility. DO NOT allow your loved one to be admitted to this facility, EVER. Just don't. They could die. I gave it 1 star because I have to, but I would give it "negative" stars if I could. Mom spent 3 weeks in this facility. She did not get 1 bath the entire time. We were promised a bedside commode & overbed frame with trapeze to aid in repositioning which didn't arrive for days. When it did, they couldn't fit it in the room where she could use it. Instead they just put her in diapers. They would not monitor her Oxygen & allowed her to become hypoxic at least once. If it wasn't hypoxia then it had to be a medication error. The food was all empty starchy calories, without any real nutrition, & no fresh vegetables fed to a type 2 diabetic. The Occupational Therapists & Physical Therapists tried to make her stand/walk on a "greater trochanter fracture" that was just days old. She was in excruciating pain & they treated her like she was a piker. They wanted to discharger her less than a week after being admitted. Patient Care Technicians try to take care of patients, but they're not allowed to give more or better care than the minimum that "The Medicare Guidelines" require, & if you complain about the level of care, they repeat the near cultish creed, "But, we're following the Medi-Care Guidelines." If a Dr. hadn't been doing rounds when her heart rate fell too low & she went into renal failure, my Mom would be DEAD. Nobody there was astute enough to catch the problem. Do NOT recommend. Stay as far from this place as you can. From my perspective as someone who has been either an inpatient or outpatient all 49 years of my life, this place is a scam!

I’m giving this place 5 stars! The nurses and staff are the most hard working people I’ve ever met. Working as a new nurse at Apple was such a great experience for me. Apple Valley Post Acute is a total family environment with staff that will jump in to help when ever your getting behind or overwhelmed. During Covid it seemed that being behind or overwhelmed was inevitable most days, however we all are a team there and I was never left to fend for myself. Thank you so much Apple Valley for giving me the opportunity to work with you guys during the Covid 19 pandemic, I learned so much! This new nurse is forever grateful for your kindness and patience. I miss you guys immensely!

I have a family member that has been at Apple Valley for about three years. I have had a good opportunity to witness the staff and the cleanliness and the care. I cannot say enough about the caring, professional staff from the housekeepers, CNA's, dietary assistants, social activities people, social service dept., physical therapists and assistants, etc. They help make the place feel like a family environment and each patient is well attended. The place is so clean! It all comes down from the top and Michael Andraszczyk, the administrator is amazing!
