The journey to sobriety and recovery can be a difficult road to travel. This is where sober living communities come in. Transitional housing is meant to help clients transition back into life after inpatient substance abuse treatment or medical detox. Sober transitional living is a step down to inpatient treatment, while still providing structure and accountability. It takes time to unlearn the bad behaviors and relearn new, healthy, and productive habits. Sober living provides a community where we can learn to walk again, absent drugs and alcohol.  Working through fears, discomfort, and adversity while having regular house meetings to process through the difficulties that come up during early recovery. Peer support and community is the essence of sober living.
