About Chula Vista Comprehensive Treatment Center in Chula Vista, CA

Located in Chula Vista, California, Chula Vista Comprehensive Treatment Center (CTC) provides medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to adults age 18 and older who are struggling with opioid addiction.

MAT is an evidence-based, research-supported approach to opioid addiction treatment that includes the closely supervised use of prescription medication along with one or more types of counseling. In the decades since MAT began to be offered at methadone clinics in the United States, several studies have documented its effectiveness in helping people avoid relapse and achieve long-term recovery from opioid addiction.

Patients who receive care at Chula Vista CTC in Chula Vista may receive methadone, buprenorphine, naloxone, or Suboxone. Each patient completes a thorough evaluation and meets with a medical professional to determine whether methadone or one of the other medications is best for them.

Therapies Used at Our Chula Vista Methadone Clinic

Methadone and the other medications adults can receive at methadone clinics and Comprehensive Treatment Centers can help them stop using opioids without developing painful withdrawal symptoms. This is a vital component of MAT, but medication alone cannot fully prepare a person for successful long-term recovery.

To ensure that patients are best equipped to respond to the challenges they will encounter in their recovery journey, we offer both individual and group counseling.

Individual therapy at our opioid addiction treatment center in Chula Vista, California, provides a confidential environment in which patients can process their experiences and receive focused feedback from a member of their treatment team.

Group sessions are supportive forums where patients can learn relapse prevention strategies, practice healthy communication and problem-solving skills, and share support with others who are receiving treatment at our Chula Vista center.

Supportive & Encouraging Treatment for Opioid Addiction in Chula Vista, CA

When a person first enters treatment at a methadone clinic or another MAT provider, they are often dealing with negative emotions such as shame, guilt, fear, and isolation.

At Chula Vista CTC in Chula Vista, California, we understand how opioid addiction can undermine a person’s self-confidence and self-esteem, and we work closely with each patient to let them know that they are not alone, they are a valuable individual, and they are worthy of being treated with respect.

We also help our patients determine what a healthy life in recovery looks like to them, which includes identifying tangible goals they can work toward. Examples of this can include repairing damaged relationships, returning to school, or preparing to reenter the job market.

When you choose our center in Chula Vista, California, you can expect to receive clinically superior care and comprehensive support so that you can end your opioid use and make sustained progress toward lifelong recovery.

F this place!!! Seems like they would rather have you start using drugs again, then help you with a problem that can be easily fixed. They want to single people out and put them on "contract" for stuff that others do daily, with no type of consequences. You would think after months of clean UA's, a person going out of state for a childs graduation would have no problem obtaining take homes for that time. Not be told the day before that they are going on contract.

For a person who voluntarily tapered they were very unreasonable. Highly recommend getting help from an addictive specialist or your PCP who can prescribe Subutex and or Suboxone in a closed medical environment. You certainly will not have to have your dignity stripped from you day after day by bureaucrats who used to be compassionate health care workers. Places like Third Ave Comprensive Treatment Center seem to be under an unwritten policy to misguide the dependent patient who is already vulnerable and in a weakened state from getting the care that is right and comfortable for their individual needs. The dependent patient should not be looked at like a drug addict, but more likely someone who was given powerful opioids by a doctor at the tender age of 23. A doctor they trusted.

The staff is nice but it literally took us 6 hours to be seen. Treatment was not for me but waiting there that long when other places take three hours was ridiculous in my opinion that makes the process exhausting and this was with a scheduled appt of 8 am we left there by 2pm.
