They expect you to revolve your whole life around their programs. They will change your appointments without telling you and then get you in trouble when you miss them. They have no respect for your time and life and obligations. However, if your life has become a complete s*** show due to your substance abuse then this is a better alternative.

I was seeing a counselor who never contacted me, She terminated me after saying someone was gonna contact me that was on a recorded line! she never contacted me ignored me and lied to me ! The people who run this place don't know what they are doing...

This building is meant to help people change their lives. And to build and give people the tools they can apply to their current and future life. To be able to look at the past, and gain the tools with your counselor, as well as your groups with others. These couselors are supposed to help you learn to live a self-directed life, NO JAIL! These are the goals. But as individuals we find that not all the couselors in that building have come to master, or even understand the Rider and the Elephant! Decisions are based on thinking. I have learned that couselors in that building have not yet learned how to change their criminal thinking, but have learned to mask it to gain the position they are in today. Yet to everyone it looks like they live a very self-directed, happy life. When truly through thier behaviors, comments, and decision toward a client's life. It shows that these couselors still project thier own past issues on to the client. These programs within this building like drug court. Are supposed to help guide you, give you structure, and tools to, like I mentioned above eventually live a self-directed life. But instead they take it upon them self's to micro manage people's lives. To control Relationships and marriages when those are not even the problem. NO Contact orders placed by a Judge being lied to by these couselors that are supposed to be helping you, by these programs supposed to be helping you. And because you choose not to let them control, that one part of your life that's not even a problem. (Community is my Witness) Your set back in the progress in the program, and incarcerated. What I've learned out of all of this. Is that there's nothing you can do to change it. They can never set you back in the progress you've made within yourself. I will never recommend this building or any of its programs to any individual. I do know that there are good counselors in that building but they're hard to find. Find your wheel of enjoyment Body Mind heart and spirit and don't let any counselor take those away from you.
