Bonbon Tea5 StarPerhaps all the stars were in alignment, but this was the program that helped me really start serious recovery and sobriety. I’d been trying to stay sober four years. I was all in here. I’m a 12 stepper so I appreciated the meetings they brought in. Counselors were very helpful and professional. The counseling/educational groups were based on the best current treatment methods.it felt personal, supportive and practical. I’m sober now 1.5 years since leaving Duffys. I continue a strong daily commitment to my 12 step program. No place is perfect for every individual. I can’t say it was 100% for me; however, they offered what I needed most. Stephan Gunn5 StarOn the 21st of September, 1985, I took my last drink. The day after, I checked myself into what was then “Duffy’s of Myrtledale” in the old days, when Duffy was still alive and running the facility. These were the early years, when more than a few rock legends shared a bunkhouse with me. The ranch was lovely, but much of it was more primitive than now. I spent at least 12 or 13 evenings rocking on the porch while Duffy taught us invaluable information on staying sober. Over 35 years later I remain sober and drug-free. Life was everything I was promised by simply following the Program simply. Thank you Duffy, wherever you are. Know that because if your generous wisdom, I have been happily married for 30 years and am enjoying my grandchildren and children with great love.
