Good River for fishing for both cold water and warm water species,as well as ocean run fish like Stripers and Salmon, Steelhead and White Sturgeon,warm water fish include non natives such as Large mouth Bass, Bluegill,Green Sunfish Crappie, Bullhead Catfish, Channel Catfish, and Common Carp.Nativev warm water fish include Sacramento Perch, California Squawfish, River Sculpins, Sacramento Blackfish, and various Suckers, the upper reaches contain cold water species such as Rainbow and Brown trout, some Cutthroat and a few Brookies, as well as Native Suckers. Also found in the Feather River are Green Sturgeon and Long Nose sturgeon ( or so I've been told) Crawdads, Bullfrogs and Turtles of several non native species as well as the native Western Spotted Pond turtle. Also found are fresh water clams and Mussels, and California Newts,Tree Frogs etc. There are many fine places for swimming and diving as well. Boating of all kinds, Wind Sailing , Kayaking Canoeing etc. Long River it empties into the Sacramento River, it's is also the main feeder stream for Lake Oroville where you can fish for many different species and water ski etc. Good recreational river.
