To be completely honest the overall program that Fountain uses is very well managed and is very effective. They customized a program for myself and the things I need to work on. And I believe that’s what also made my recovery so much easier. The small groups they provide is, in my opinion, what makes it a great program! Before I came to treatment at Fountain Recovery I had no hope and saw death in my future. After my excellent experience in recovery with my peers and counselors at Fountain, I have a new, fantastic outlook on life that is full of hope and excitement. A good recovery program resembles the life and atmosphere of a healthy family. The Family Program is a weekly coming together of clients and their families and friends for the purpose of education about the nature of the disease of addiction and recovery from it. To encourage and facilitate communication between clients and their families, a setting where family members and friends can talk honestly about what they have been through and to encourage family members to establish recovery and support for themselves. The Family Program is held weekly. The Family Program generates a lot of recovery of a lot of people. Early recovery from addiction can be like the loud noises and unexpected turns of roller-coaster. Of changing emotions and uncertain circumstances. As a result, encouragement and support are indispensable. Mood swings, shame, fears, self doubt, hurt feelings, angry feelings, hope, relief, peace and happiness about a few future can team up in just one day of early recovery. The elements of recovery, including encouragement, support from others. education about addiction and recovery from it, help with family recovery and the safe environment provided at the Fountain Recovery, allow our clients to get well and stay well. Toward that end, Fountain clients develop and work on a recovery plan which keeps them busy while it makes the conditions which generate recovery. At Fountain Recovery, the journey we began with you in treatment does not end at discharge. One of the significant components of our program is our After Care Group. Fountain Recovery is committed to helping our clients as they continue their recovery journey. This is done by offering free Aftercare for our clients who successfully complete our program. Early Recovery can be a roller coaster of thoughts and feelings, and there may be times you are unable to understand or express what you are experiencing, but with the support and guidance from those who are successfully traveling the road of recovery you are currently on, things will make sense, and before you know it, you will be the one offering your experience, strength and hope to the newcomer. The group facilitated by a Fountain Recovery counselor and meets twice a month. Client begin attending Aftercare while they are in treatment so by the time they discharge, they have a support group of peers in place. The only good reason to talk about relapse is to prevent it... Relapse does not just suddenly occur, and it is more then just returning to drugs and or alcohol. Relapse is a process, and therefore can be prevented. Whether this is the first time you have come to treatment or you are coming back to recovery after a relapse, you are doing the right thing! It is difficult; but the rewards of life and recovery are well worth the difficulty. A lot of clients come to Fountain after several previous attempts at recovery. They are discouraged about and feel humiliated by the relapses. Then there are the clients who have no experience with relapse. They too need to prevent relapse; That is to develop a plan of action to maintain their recovery over a time period in either case, preventing relapse is a lifesaving practice period. Many people don’t understand why or how other people become addicted to drugs. They may mistakenly think that those who use drugs lack moral principles or willpower and that they could stop their drug use simply by choosing to. In reality, drug addiction is a complex disease, and quitting usually takes more than good intentions or a strong will. Drugs change the brain in ways that make quitting hard, even for those who want to. Fortunately, researchers know more than ever about how drugs affect the brain and have found treatments that can help people recover from drug addiction and lead productive lives.
