The staff really cares and are all genuine as anyone can be. Plus, I’m still sober. I actually miss being there, it really is special.

I have been through 7 rehabs and only stayed sober for 3 months. My 8 attempt was at Genesis, now im am going on 2 years of recovery. It was a true blessing for me and my family. Now I can look at the world straight in the eyes.

I just completed this program. It changed my life. It became a second home to me. I have been using Alcohol and Drugs for over 25 yrs. I have tried multiple programs with no luck. This place is much different then all the others I've been too. The one on one care never stopped. I always had some one to help me through what ever struggle, I was feeling. The compassion and aptitude the staff have are unparalleled to any I have seen. The location being in the Mountains helped me to feel peace and not be overwhelmed with the busy outside world. It's far enough away from civilization that when I felt like leaving. I had enough time to think about it and didnt leave and my treatment continued. I can't thank my new family/counselors enough. I wanted to take a moment and share a bit of our son's story and our experience with Genesis Recovery. Our son Hunter had gradually withdrawn from us and 2014 we barely saw him. He wouldn't answer his phone, come to family events, or much of anything else. Then, in late Sept 2014, I received a call from him, he was in jail. He told me his lifestyle had finally caught up with him and I asked him what he meant. He told me what he had been up to and I was in shock. He had been drinking heavily, daily, which wasn't that much of a surprise given what I had witnessed previously, but what was a surprise is he had gotten heavily involved with substance abuse and dealing. His girlfriend at the time bailed him out and unfortunately, he got back to doing what he had before the arrest. What he failed to tell us however, was the judge had ordered him to attend AA/NA meetings regularly, find a therapist, etc. At his next hearing the judge asked Hunter to show proof of what he had done in the three months since these tasks were ordered and he had done none of them. As a result the judge ordered Hunter to 90 days in county jail and 6 months in rehab/sober living. This was the absolute best thing that anyone could have done for him. As his time in jail was coming to an end, Hunter's attorney suggested we look into Genesis Recovery and she gave me Tommy's number. This program was exactly what we were looking for, Christian based, 12 Step, with therapists on-site. We just had to get our son on board. We posed the idea to him and, after some initial resistance, he agreed to give it a shot. Shortly after he started in the program we began to see changes in him that I thought we never would. He was incredibly positive, thankful, appreciative, and loving. It was amazing! But for me, the most amazing thing is the blessing of Hunter accepting Christ and inviting us to attend church with him and the other guys from the program every Sunday! I know this is a result not only of Hunter being ready for change, but also of the positive influence and association of the therapists, staff, and other residents. I cannot say enough good things about this experience. Not only did Hunter complete the program, but as a result of his attitude, commitment, and positivity, he was asked if he would like to stay on as a member of the staff! We were blown away! My wife and I want to thank Tommy, Dennis, all of the therapists, clinicians, and staff and yes the residents too! You have given us the most precious gift of all, we have our son back!! May God bless you all richly!! I would highly recommend Genesis Recovery to anyone who may find themselves in need of help for a loved one.

Wow. Is all I can say. I will say that a life without a recovery mindset is no life at all. Complete decency on Christ is what I learned here. How to surrender, how to trust, how to self reflect and stop blaming, how to heal and forgive. What I received at Genesis was nothing short of a miracle. I am a huge advocate for this program and this place and I am truly blessed to have been able to go here myself. Life has never been better and that’s no lie, not even a little.
