Lava Heights Academy provides a welcoming and affirming environment for young females (assigned at birth) ages 12-17 who are struggling with mental and behavioral issues, which may have made it difficult to remain at home, in school, or their community. We are a residential treatment center offering comprehensive and therapeutically informed art programs covering all four arts modalities – music, drama, art, and dance and movement. Our arts professionals work with teens who have psychological, emotional, behavioral, social, and other developmental challenges – reaching them in ways traditional talk therapy cannot. Referrals can be initiated by parents, along with mental health professionals, including psychiatrists and education consultants. Lava Heights Academy is nestled among the black lava rock bluffs at the gateway to Zion National Park. Our campus was designed to be comfortable as well as functional – designed from the ground up as a therapeutic environment for healing through the arts while prioritizing safety and health. He was struggling so much in school with friends, bullies, and self image. Lava heights was so welcoming to him and he fit in quickly with new friends. What he has learned about himself has been priceless. Thank you so much for what you do for kids like ours.” Our campus is found among the black lava rock bluffs at the gateway to Zion National Park. By creating a campus inspired by Tuscan Artistry, we are able to utilize the arts to provide a way for students to communicate and overcome complex feelings, fears, and struggles when words alone are not enough. their thinking of sending me here saying its an all girls school but theres a review saying that this program helped a families son. Obviously fake reviews😂.. ALSO no hate to trans people but u shouldnt advertise on your website that they treat “boys”.. this is a girls school and the reviews say otherwise which is sketch.

Before I went to Lava Heights, I was depressed, a self harmer, and I was into substance abuse; blaming my family for my problems through all of this. Now that I'm out and graduated, I have graduated High School a year early (from Lava Heights), applied for college and have my classes picked out, am working two jobs to pay for college and have an amazing relationship with my family. Lava offers AA, addictions group, a safe environment, healthy boundaries with a co-ed environment, fun and appropriate activities, and an over-all great experience. It's not bland, there are decorations accommodating the season it is, and the teachers are very ambitious with their students. I wouldn't take this experience back for anything in the world. So glad my parents sent me to Lava.

I took my daughter to lagoon. And I meet a wonderful person who takes care of people just like my daughter. My daughter has c.p. and she is so smart but can't walk I want to know if this place is the same people we meet. It was beautiful to see

I was here for about a week.their were nice staff but they were very low on staff and people were quiting left and right there was only one nurse and she was only there on the weekends. What really botherd was if one kid was acting up it would mess up the whole schdule it seemed the staff had very little over the giris. One thing i did notice were that there was a lot of good people working like the staff and teachers the facility its self looks very nice and the therapist did seem to care a lot but in my opinion it should b shut bc of how short they are on staff
