As a patient. I'm 48 with a broken femur.. thigh. I cannot walk but for the life in me, which is nothing left of anything but depressed and broke down .. I cannot get them to offer any interaction. I pressed my nurse button and still sit here unattended for 3-5 hours. I am unhappy and cannot get decent care. It not abusive or mean but just the basics. Go figure for the price. It's just not a good match for me. I hate it here. And am waiting for another bed elsewhere to open for me to move. Oh thank God for his mercies because I am livid In a wet diaper.

UNDERSTAFFED. One really frustrating problem is that it's hard to reach the nurses' station on the unit by phone. You can wait ten, fifteen minutes on hold. They won't even pick up to take a message. Sometimes they won't pick up at all. I've also left messages & voicemail messages for staff and they weren't returned. My sense is that they're short staffed -- chronically short staffed -- and staff is so overworked that communicating with family always gets lowest priority. They could definitely staff up a little better, but I guess management is choosing not to spend the money. Of course, when your loved one is a resident, you can't help but worry whether the short staffing is going to lead to things slipping through the cracks when it comes to care.

Never cared for my grandmother the way she deserved or the way any human should be treated!!! Left her in the halls and she developed pneumonia there and it was never addressed properly ..She was there in May.. does in august..horrible!!

EVERY Life Care Center is SHORT STAFFED, too high acuity for staffing ratios and just not safe. PERIOD!
