Newport Institute

Newport Institute is a nationwide series of evidence-based healing centers dedicated to transforming the lives of young adults and their families and loved ones struggling with mental health issues and co-occurring disorders, such as eating disorders and substance abuse. We treat young adults up to age 28 by empowering families, partnering with clinical professionals, and supporting them at this critical juncture in life. Newport gave me a safe and supportive environment to heal and grow. I learned how to deal with life in a healthy, positive manner and gained a sense of self-worth that I had never felt before. I learned that I am more than my mental health and addiction. That I am strong, worthy and loved. Measured using third-party research partners, our outcomes show that 100% of patients treated with our clinical model experience improvements in their mental health scores and well-being. On average, patients’ improvements exceeded levels of clinical significance.

First time being at Mental health residential inpatient and the group therapy's, and single therapy were the best things ever. I wish I could have stayed a little longer but sadly I couldn't because of my insurance. But overall yeah it was very helpful and very nice people. They even have family therapy for family issues and a learning lab teacher if you still want to be in school and help you with your homework. The only two things I didn't like about that place were their food and some of the rules they have but overall they are very caring and understanding people especially the CC (Caretaker) they are amazing people if you found the right people. And again the family therapy, single therapy, group therapy, counselor, and psychiatrist are amazing people who actually care about you and actually want to help you, unlike the other outside therapy and psychiatrist.

Newport has provided a safe place for me I will never forget how hopeless I was when I walked through those days. Ive met people just like me which made me feel less alone. They showed me there’s a life worth living if your willing to work for it and you wanted badly enough! .They treat everyone with love and compassion. The counselors were all loving, cheerful, and fun. There was always somebody to talk to 24/7. I will forever be grateful for Newport! I am extremely blessed and grateful that I was givin the opportunity to go to Newport Academy. There aren’t many places like this one!!!! Today I am in school, working and 286 days sober, Most importantly I found peace within!!
