Terrible place. My mother went there after hip replacement. She was over medicated. It was only supposed to be for 2-3 days. They kept wanting me to sign her up for long term care. No help when calling the nurses station. The nurses argued with me about meds when I had doctors orders in front of me after her visit. It was awful.

My mother, age 90, was sent here after being in the hospital in ICU. While there she developed blood sepsis. She was taken off her meds and we were advised she would probably pass away. They sent her to Red Cliffs for 5 days so we could have time to line up hospice, which we did. While at Red Cliffs they would get her up at 7 am for physical therapy. I told them she should not have juices or fresh salad due to diarrhea issues. When I visited twice a day, she was receiving just their normal food and had not paid attention to diet restrictions. When I went to get her after 5 days, they told me she could not be released. She was there for pain management and they wanted to keep her for 5 more days. I said she did not need pain management, was dying and hospice was at our home awaiting her arrival. They said we would need to contact our family physician to get her released. All this took 2 hours and finally we got her home. The hospice nurse followed up on her case and apparently Red Cliffs had her records mixed up with someone else. Would never recommend this facility to anyone. This happened in 2012. My mother passed away within 2 months.

My dad was transported here to recieve daily antibiotics after leaving the ICU due to a bad infection. He had to wait several days to get his medications. He was put on the back burner for receiving any extra care throughout the day. The facility didn't give all the information needed upon arrival. Once he was discharged the facility neglected to send paper work to home health. Which resulted him needing to go back to the ER. Go anywhere else but here.

A very close friend of mine was admitted to this horrible place. They do not give patients regular meals on a timely basis. They even gave her not only her meds but meds from other patients. She weight was 150 and when she was released she was down to 103. They even admitted they gave her the wrong meds. I thought they would learn to train their staff that patients come first. Most are there because they need to earn money. No compassion. I agree with others that 1 star is way too high. I know they have been turned into the BBB but they sided with the facility each time. This place needs to be shut down. They own multiple facilities and just over a year ago one of their staff assulted a patient who dialed 911 and was arrested but they are still open. Don't understand why. I will never go to these facilities owned by whomever. All they want is money. They don't care about the patients.

My 80 year old aunt with dementia has been a resident at Red Cliffs for the past 5 years. I feel that she is getting very good care and she is happy at Red Cliffs. The facility is attractive and is neat and clean. My aunt is very fond of her former social worker Mindy who went above and beyond to make sure that she felt cared for. She also made sure that my aunt had phone access and helped her call her relatives and friends regularly. All the staff are well trained in working with residents with memory and behavioral issues and have a lot of patience. The PT and rehab staff have worked with my aunt to keep her safely mobile. The nutritionist and nursing staff have ensured that my aunt maintains a good weight despite being a picky eater. She has enjoyed the recreational activities, especially the musical programs. The indoor sun room with the water fountain is a peaceful visiting area that families can enjoy. The nursing staff keeps me informed of any major changes and the quarterly care meetings are very helpful. I live out of state but I sleep well at night knowing that my aunt is in good hands at Red Cliffs.
