Why Red Mountain
We provide an emotionally safe, supportive, inclusive environment where students can let their guards down to experience true healing. Our surroundings allow students to learn the benefits of being themselves and gain the strength to change. Our setting provides students the space to regulate and understand what’s going on internally with their mental health and well-being.
Josh and Maureen are uniquely qualified to support young adults through the combination of therapy, mindfulness, and the 12 steps because they know the benefits firsthand… and live those principles everyday.
A successful launch into adulthood requires an understanding of our needs, responsibilities, and goals. Learning how to get ourselves aligned in a healthy and productive way is part of the growth we encourage at Red Mountain. Through evidence-based and mindfulness practices and life skills / executive function programming, students discover their true potential and learn how to overcome their challenges.

James Stuckey5 StarYou will find no greater cutting-edge psychological expertise and, more importantly, compassionate care and understanding from anyone in the world. I've been out of the program for over a year now and simply cannot express in words what an awesome and loving and unique place this is. Many of the friends I made at RMS, nor myself, would not be the people we are today without the care and guidance we received during our time here. Cody Jones5 StarThis program legitimately saved my life. It wasn’t the first program I went to, but I’m so happy to say it was the last. The healing and progress I accomplished there was incredible. I am a completely different person now, over a year after graduating, and much of it was due to Red Mountain. They have succeeded in cultivating a safe and loving environment conducive to recovering from trauma/addiction, and moving past that to discover what you are truly capable of. They helped me build a life that I’m proud of today. There is no amount of thanks in the world that would suffice for what they did for me. It was a beautiful place filled with beautiful people. Isaac5 StarLocated in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Red Mountain Sedona is where you want to be. They do a great job at creating a sense of community while also respecting individual freedoms. What you learn here will carry with you for the rest of your life. Mindfulness and meditation are key components that contribute to the success of the program. I recommend RMS to anyone willing to put the work in. As an alumni of the program, I can confidently say that I am extremely grateful for this opportunity.

Melanie Sweeney5 StarRed Mountain Sedona gave our son a path forward to live a healthy life in all ways and for that we will be forever grateful. Josh, Sean, and the entire staff helped him beat the odds to conquer his psychiatric challenges and substance abuse. A photo from his graduation 3 years ago popped up on my phone. It's remarkable to think back to those days, the ones for 3 long years before his graduation when we sometimes didn't know if he was alive and always worried what we would the day would bring for him. Josh and I worked together prior to the inception of RMS and again during the development of Red Mountain Colorado. As a mental health profesdional, I can honestly say that Red Mountain Sedona is an solid program with a highly qualified and talented staff team. They have done a terrific job building a program that is tailored to the specific needs of young adults in treatment.
