The Roque Center was founded in March of 1972 as a nonprofit corporation by a group of caring men and women whose lives had been touched, in one form or another, by alcoholism or drug addiction. Our mission and vision remains: “To help those who suffer from alcoholism and drug addiction and provide them access to affordable substance abuse treatment, while turning no one away for lack of ability to pay.”
Our 12-step based approach to recovery focuses on affecting positive change in the client’s lifestyle and behavior through education, group process, one-to-one counseling, exposure to alternative coping skills, and positive role models. With the realization that recovery is a process and not an event, our social model peer-oriented and home-like recovery program is designed to assist men and women in developing a foundation for long term recovery.
Since 1972 we have helped over 34,000 individuals receive the quality care and treatment they deserve.

If your going to work in a detox place the requirements should not only be for experience in addiction yourself! The people were rude and so not willing to help! Missy Rees5 StarStanton Detox saved my life. I came to their facility badly beaten, Physically, emotionally and especially spiritually. A walking shell of self-will run riot. It was the last house on the block for me besides Jail, A Psych ward or death. I was sleeping in a park in Garden Grove and showed up with the dirty clothes on my back and an empty back pack, all as the result of my drug use and irrationality thinking. I detoxed there for the full 7 days. I had the gift of desperation so I took every direction I was given. I recovered physically, I participated in groups and I went to the 12 step panels and meetings when they came. I immediately found a sponsor on my second day and then took direction from her. Today I have almost 90 days sober and a life worth living. So give yourself a break and call. I'm so grateful...like I said the best thing I did for myself in the last decade was surrender and make that call. God Bless, and THY WILL BE DONE.Friday 17th August 2018
