SB&H offers an array of programs to meet the unique needs of the communities we serve. More recently, integrated care and value based contracting have been initiated to offer a more flexible and culturally sensitive approach to clients served and resolve the historical challenges of fragmented care. This is not a Caribbean resort nor I would expect that. However, out of the number of places my (adult) son as been during a recent mental health crisis, SW Behavioral (2042 N 35th Ave., Phoenix) was the best. The entire staff is what really matters (not the aesthetics) and this is a wonderful group that works very cohesively. The patients matter to them and is why they are employed at SW Behavioral - they care. I did not see that very often elsewhere. The employees at SW Behavioral respond quickly and kindly. They help when needed. Dr. Underwood listened to my son and put a plan into action regarding his meds and care throughout his stay. I was kept in the loop (with my son's permission). The compassion was beyond what I ever expected from the entire staff from Intake to Discharge, front office to back, and in-between. When something needs to be done at this SW location, it gets done. Not in 5 hours or 5 days, but immediately. Going through this has been a tough for my son. It has been life changing and he couldn't have accomplished this without SW Behavioral Health Services on 35th Ave. as his last stay before discharge. So often people are quick to complain, especially with Covid quarentines, etc. Sure, it's miserable and an incredibly stressful time. Dr. Underwood, Alice, Kayla, plus the entire staff at SW Behavioral Health on 35th Avenue, deserve positive recognition.

I wouldn't give this place even 1 star. Michelle treats clients in a direspectful way. She's unfair to Registry staff where she demands and commands them to do all the chores while core staff doesn't help out. I'm going to the Better Business Bureau etc. For staff being unfair and how staff treats their clients.. Instead of investigating the director DNR'd me. The Director could of asked other staff about my working habits and how I interact with clients. I have witnesses that work at Southwest Behavioral CRU1 and CRU2 that I do a great job. Several people that work at RTP except for Michelle, Sandra and Melonie will tell you that I work hard. Yesterday I was going to complain to the Director about how unfairly they treat Registry. But I know the Director wouldn't listen to me Sophia RN told me that I have a gift for working in Behavioral and how well I treat the clients. I will get my justice even if I have to get a Lawyer
