When looking for a sober living for men in San Diego, there are several options. Way of Life Sober Living offers two locations in San Diego (both less than 1 mile from the beach), one in Carlsbad Village and one in Del Mar. Our Oceanside location is closed in 2022-2023 for a major remodel). These sober living homes breathalyze daily, drug test every week at least once, encourage active lifestyles, and require a MINIMUM of 3-4 recovery meetings per week..but sober living homes must be more than that. With their high levels of accountability, both homes offer the same structure. These homes have a very low relapse rate and an excellent reputation. The owners do not solely operate these sober living homes for a living - they have full-time careers in different industries outside of recovery. That makes a HUGE difference when looking for owners that care more about the residents than profit, just read the reviews online!

Kevin is an amazing guy and has a great business that really helps people. I was a resident at his house and it gave me a good perspective and put me in a surrounding that was safe and intellectually stimulating. I have gone on to be a business owner and I am far from perfect but this place really help me get some foundation and get me back on my feet. @beachmoney

A healthy, safe & structured environment to recover. The community was great. Everybody was committed to getting healthy & the house was always kept clean. Having the choice between a private or shared room was also a bonus as most sober living homes have 2+ to a room. Highly recommend.

I had a great experience at Way of Life, so good that when it was time for me to move on I really struggled because the residents and management team at Way of Life became my family and gave me the tools to be successful in long term sobriety. It was really tough to lose that group of people. I learned a lot in my almost one year stay at one of the houses, both from my missteps and from the leaders of Way of Life as well as the other residents. I couldn't stay there forever, we have to learn and move on with life, but in a perfect world I would have. I am in a big transition phase of life with some loss that was difficult for me to handle, but Way of Life was there to catch me, and I am forever grateful. While I had some ups and downs, I know that the tools I was taught and observed will benefit me for the rest of my life. Addiction is a tough thing to understand, and we wake up one day and we are somehow smack dab in the middle of it, no matter who we are, what we came from, or what we do or have accomplished. It is blind and it is....deadly. So it's really tough. But it is great to have tons and tons of support and resources out there to help us, and Way of Life is definitely one of those resources. I definitely recommend Way of Life...even if you are an old guy like me in the middle of your life. I had an incredible year with guys my age and guys half my age, and those memories will stay with me forever. And the things I learned will help me tremendously as I continue on this journey. A journey full of lots of bumps, but I journey that I know I will stay on no matter what....and by the grace of God I hope to live a long, peaceful, and sober life.
